Lattice apron is a vital part of compact spinning, it plays a key role in fiber gathering.Lattice apron is a tubular fabric which is only air permeable and no fiber can go through, the appearance is similar to the rubber apron. Lattice apron is usually woven by monofilament and circumferential continuous without broken end. The width is around 20~30mm and the perimeter depends on the dimension of the section tube.

Lattice apron is matched with the negative pressure tube in compact spinning device, locating between the front roller and compacting roller. The main function of lattice apron is as following. 

(1) yarn conveyor: the lattice apron conveys the yarn from the front roller to the compacting roller;

(2) hairiness collection: the hairiness of the yarn from front roller is disorderly and the lattice apron makes the hairiness suction on the surface. And then collects all hairiness into yarn so that the drafted yarn thus produced is of high quality with reduced hairiness and increased strength. 

(3) triangular space elimination: the compact spinning device utilize the negative pressure function makes the fiber gather and condense on the surface of lattice apron so that the width of fiber assembly is close with the yarn, thus it almost eliminates the triangular space when the yarn out from the compacting roller, causing fibers with a even tension in the yarn and higher yarn tenacity than traditional spinning.
